When do we do good?
Proverbs 3:27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it's in your power to help them.
Although we could debate whether we are supposed to do good to all (whether they deserve it or not), wouldn't my life be a lot simpler if I followed the advice in this verse?
Too often I "do good" to those who don't deserve it (i.e., freeloaders), and when I really don't have the means to help them anyway (time, money, talent, etc.). That has caused me an unknown amount of grief, and has kept me from really helping others.

The only way we can know who to help is being spirit led, allowing God to lead us. I have went ahead and done for others on my own and it ended up causing me grief also.
