Prosperity and blessing for all...

It bothers me when i see the television preachers declare to everyone in the building and everyone listening that "this is your year of blessing," or "season of blessing." The airwaves are typically ripe with this talk in December/January. It typically gets lots of cheers and shouting and clapping. Don't we all want the next season to be the good one??

1. So we're all going to have the same season at the same time? Not likely. And that makes those of us who are having a season of grief, or doubt, or sickness feel like we must not be with the times, or the current move of God.
2. It's always a "positive" season. No one ever says, "2006 is going to be a time of severe poverty and testing. Get ready." It would be more believable if it was ever something besides, "Good times are just around the corner!"

God, please protect your sheep...
