Which way did he go?

I hope you weren't listening with baited breath to president bush's speech on the "new direction" for iraq. I was.

As far as I can see we're going the exact same direction, we're just getting a bigger engine, a set of new tires, and an alignment. That does not constitute a new direction.

I'm not commenting at the moment on whether we should or should not have a new direction in Iraq. However, I think that W is losing credibility rapidly during this window of opportunity that the american people gave him to prove that he had heard what they said in November. Many thought that he was finally listening.

From his speech tonight, I can't see any way that he was affected by the public outcry on election day. The mass intervention failed.

I believe that our president is acting in the best interest of our freedom. He has access to information that the public does not. The right choice is not always the popular choice. I am standing with our president.

In the words of late President Ford, it is ok to disagree without being disagreeable...hopefully I have done just that.

i wasn't questioning whether or not he is acting in our best interest or not. I was questioning his credibility.

He said he was re-thinking the direction. People believed that he was. Then when he gave his speech it did not sound at all like he was changing direction. Just changing strategy.

He may know lots of things that we don't know. However, that does not excuse him from leading us to believe that there would be a change in direction when there wasn't.

You're always welcome to disagree with me. Agreeably or disagreeably.
